(Dwanye Roloson)
The New York Islanders blew a 3 goal lead with less then 10 minutes to play in regulation Saturday night. Their opposistion the Boston Bruins were showered with boo's throughout the 2nd and 3rd periods. Suddenly the former Presidents Trophy winners found a way to turn it around tallying 3 goals in the 3rd to tie. Then after a scoreless sudden death overtime a win in the shootout. The odd thing, is the Islanders this year have not won a game but they have not lost one technically either. They are one of 3 teams with out a regulation loss. They have earned 3 pts through 3 games, which isnt great but it could be alot worse. I'm sure Isles Fans like myself arent too upset about it, but obviously i'd like to see a win.. or maybe a 3 GOAL LEAD HELD. Goaltender Dwayne Roloson played well enough to win but didn't. His second start of the season yet again yielding 3 goals in regulation, followed by a shoot out loss. There are always good things to take out of losses. The Best would be Rookie John Taveres. Taveres would pick up a goal and an assist last night tallying his 2nd 2 pt game of his career. He has 5 on the season only through 3 games. The number 1 pick is playing at a tremendously high level, which is all we can expect. Hopefully his talent and will to win will start turning this around for the Isles.
