Upsets of the Decade.
Is George Mason's 2006 NCAA basketball Final four Run a bigger upset then when Appalachian State beat (#5) Michigan 34-32 in football....
Or How about When the NY Giants beat the 18-0 New England Patriots in Superbowl XLII... if you dont think so then maybe you think it was when Japan beat the USA in the gold medal softball game in the 2008 Bejing Olympics.
Could it be when the 2006 St.Louis Cardinals who only won 83 games defeated the team with the best record in the MLB in the NLCS, that team was the NY Mets.
Back to the olympics.... could your biggest upset be in basketball when Puerto Rico defeated team USA in the first game of the Olympics by 17 point. Or when the 2001 #15 seeded Hampton basketball team beat the #2 seeded Iowa State, in the biggest upset in NCAA Tourny history.
Another great upset was earlier in 2009 when the USA mens soccer team beat #1 Spain . In hockey in 2006 the 8th seeded Edmonton Oilers road goaltender Dwayne Roloson all the way to the Stanley Cup finals.

NFL Team of the Decade
In my mind the NFL team of the decade is the … Pittsburgh Steelers. With 2 Super Bowl trophies, 6 playoff appearances including 5 division titles made the decision real easy. This also included 2 other conference title games as well. Another aspect I looked at is that they won the super bowls under different coaches, who both won coach of the year within the decade. Combo that with an Offensive (Ben Roethlisberger) and defensive rookie of the year (Kendrell Bell) , a comeback player of the year (Tommy Maddox) and most recently the Defensive player of the year (James Harrison) makes them a clear cut choice. Another KEY factor was the class of the coaches and ownership, something that other contenders severely lacked. The only thing that could change this decision would be in the Patriots or Colts win the super bowl this season. Congrats Steel City.

The biggest downfall in American Sports History.
This isn't like Dwights Coke, OJs Murder or Vicks Dogs.......... Its worse
Tiger Woods has always been in the public eye. From being a child prodigy who began to play golf at the age of two. In 1978, he putted against comedian Bob Hope in a television appearance on The Mike Douglas Show. At age three, he shot a 48 over nine holes at the Navy Golf Club in Cypress, California, and at age five, he appeared in Golf Digest and on ABC's That's Incredible.]In 1984 at the age of eight, he won the 9–10 boys' event, the youngest age group available, at the Junior World Golf Championships.[18] He went on to win the Junior World Championships six times, including four consecutive wins from 1988 to 1991. The following year, Woods won his third consecutive U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, and remains the event's youngest-ever and only multiple winner. Woods enrolled at Stanford University in the fall of 1994, and won his first collegiate event, the 40th Annual William H. Tucker Invitational in September. He declared a major in Economics and was nicknamed "Urkel" by his college teammates. In 1995, he defended his U.S. Amateur title, and was voted Pac-10 Player of the Year, NCAA First Team All-American, and Stanford's Male Freshman of the Year (an award that encompasses all sports). He participated in his first PGA Tour major, the Masters Tournament, and tied for 41st as the only amateur to make the cut. At age 20 in 1996, he became the first golfer to win three consecutive U.S. Amateur titles and won the NCAA individual golf championship. In winning the Silver Medal as leading amateur at The Open Championship, he tied the record for an amateur aggregate score of 281. He left college after two years and turned professional. But let me cut to the chase, in 1996 he would turn pro, and sign at the time some of the most lucrative endorsement contracts golf has ever seen.
In 1997 who could forget the Wood’s first major. It was an -18, 12 stroke victory in the Masters. The embrace that followed with his father Earl was also unforgettable. From this point forward, Tiger was America’s boy. He was the Superman to any problem possible, the Batman to……. Any problem possible.
But let me cut to the chase.
People pass away, it’s a part of life. Sometimes people shouldn’t pass away at the time they do and for the reason they did. Earl Woods, Tigers father passed away in 2006 some 2 years following his Marriage to Elin.
The following would avalanche his performance and style. He wasn’t the same Tiger. He Cursed more, Slammed his club, Became more of a brat during his round, Never signed autographs, stayed back in the public eye and most importantly shunned fans. Tiger would become something he wasn't. Im sure his antics and theatrics were not and would of not been approved by Earl.
Many people dont think what Tiger did was wrong, I on the other hand disagree. He cheated numerous times on his wife while leaving a paper trail enron would be proud of. Im sure numerous athletes cheat on their wives who have their children but they do it in another way. You figure Tiger wouldnt be such a moron, but we were wrong. Their is voicemails and X rated texts. Things you would never of thought possible from Tiger. No certain number has been revealed yet, but as of now it is at 11 different woman. Thats truely absurd that this man let his power, dominance , ego and bravado led him to this. Ask Tiger now if this was worth it, hes being dropped by sponsers, and his popularity has declinded 10-fold. Was it worth it Tiger? As my father says a Stiff dick has no brain. Which is true, but when your Tiger Woods you need to use your head even with your stiff wang, and say no.
Did you really think these Gen Pops would keep their mouth shut forever? I doubt it completely. As of now he has taken an indefinent leave from the sport, his sport, the sport he help become what it is currently. Right now his life and familys life is in shambles... wouldnt yours be? Who knows what is on the Horizon for Tiger and his family. His kids are too young to realize what is going on but im sure they will be aware soon enough and for the rest of their existance. Tiger obviously didnt think of the most important thing when committing these acts, his children. It makes you think of how Tiger has changed since the passing of Earl. Im sure Earl is discusting looking down at his son, cursing at fans for pictures, slamming his club down and cursing while hooking a shot, then shunning autograph seekers. Then at night lieing to his wife to sneak off with a whore to get laid. Im sure Earl isn't proud, no one is.
This is America's sweetheart.... At least it was.
This is truely the offical downfall of the worlds Biggest Athlete.
So this brings me back to my inital headline. Why do I say its worse then those felonies? Cause if you look at those athletes you may say to your self..."wow... thats insane, but i could see that"..... with Tiger.... nope
