Barrett Ruud IS the most underrated player in the NFL. The 26 year old is 6'2'' 242lbs. Ruud was born and would later play his college ball at Nebraska. While attending the school he would earn numerous honors including all Big-12 and a 3rd team All America honor. This included a school record 432 career tackles.

Barrett was drafted by the Buccaneers in the second round in the 2005 NFL draft. He played every game in the 2005 and 2006 season. Then in 2007 Ruud became a full-time starter. He finished the season starting all 15 games he played in, recording 114 tackles and two picks. He remained the Bucs starter through 2008 and ended the season totaling 137 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. Currently Ruud has 121 tackles (as of week 15) and is on pace for 138, almost the same as he did a year prior. This includes 5 games of double digit tackles. Ruud has been known as a great cover LB, who is usually place on a slot reciever or tight end. He is known as a fast, tackeling machine, field general and is comparable to fellow NFC Linebacker
Jonathan Vilma. Ask your self this question. Do you know much about Barrett Ruud? Probably not, that's why he is so underrated. It doesn't help that he currently plays for a 2 win Tampa Bay team.
